This is starting from the right Alice, Samantha, and Joel. They are lovely kids who need good clothes and hygiene to help them live healthier lives. Alice and Joel are half-siblings who currently live with their Mom. She makes rice and cassava farms to make ends meet for her children because their fathers are nowhere to be found.
This pathetic mom has to leave very early in the mornings for the farm that is about an hour's walk away from the town to stop birds from eating the rice seeds so that they can wonderfully yield to provide them daily bread. These amazing kids spend their time in the town waiting for mom’s return to have something to eat.
Samatha is their cousin who also has a similar story.
